octopus iker predicting the Barcelona v madrid game
The world cup has come to mzansi and it is now gone,but this Octopus thing is still around....i wonder. "who believes what this things says?", i ask myself,but it seems most people in this world of ours are 'fans' of it and i fail to understand why.
On Tuesday the 19 april 2011 I heard on one of m favourate radio stations that the octopus "Iker",named after the spanish goalkeeper Iker cassillas,predicted that Real Madrid was going to beat rivals FC Barcelona to claim the Copa del Rey trophy the next day,which they did, but it was more the Ronaldo magic that came into play than what the octopus think.
I'm am not really a fan of either Barca or Madrid, but i watched the game between the two sides last night and i will have to be honest and say Real Madrid was jst the better team on the night. I think the whole 'octopus' thing disturbed the Barca players mentally.Just think about it,if you get into a match and you are already thinking "oh boy,no matter how we try to win this one,we still are going to lose",there is no way you will win.....thus it's all in the mind .how many times,really, has this octopus predicted the outcomes of the match and the game ends with a totally different result.
when i heard about this octopus' prediction in the radio i was like....... "hey octopus, if madrid were to win their game they would win because they have great players ,not because you wanted them to win",but then again it is only a fish,ohh an octopus..........but hey it is only my opinion,feel free to argue. I t is all in the mind.
